I’ve spent over thirty years as an ungovernable self-publisher, moving from DIY punk culture to building a six-figure nature writing business, all whilst refusing to play by anyone’s rules.

I’ve had payment platforms frozen by the US government. I’ve been targeted by vindictive politicians. I’ve navigated the treacherous waters of big tech platforms that would rather silence independent voices than support them.

This site chronicles that journey: the obstacles, the hard-won lessons, the uncompromising approach that kept me ungovernable through it all.

Part memoir, part practical guide, it’s written for writers who refuse to be shackled by traditional publishing or bent to the whims of corporate platforms.
